Young Programmer Makes Learning Easier for Students
As the Kashmir Valley keeps on countersigning the unfortunate turbulences, its youngsters keep contributing to the society with their creative ideas.
Sixteen-year-old Danish Rashid from Awantipora in Pulwama in south Kashmir has developed an educational android app “live school Kashmir” (www.liveschoolkashmir.com), predominantly for the students from class 8th to 12th. They can get the study materials, avail tutorials and generate questions.
“The app was developed in contemplation with the prevailing situation in the valley keeping in view the loss students face,” said Danish, who learnt C Programming from AP Tech Srinagar. A teacher from the same institution taught him java, after which he learnt CSS, PHP and later he developed an android app in 2014.
When asked about his inspiration he said, “Whenever I read newspaper stories, I used to get encouraged. Also, I wanted to give practical shape to my ideas and found programming perfect.”
Danish is also a guitarist and pianist and started to create his own songs from a very young age of 12. He himself produces instrumentals and is also the lyricist of those songs. He plays his songs on online radio (www.pannunfm.in).which is also a radio app developed by his close friend, Umar Nisar. He mutually coordinates with other friends and has a Facebook fan-page “ABDS records Kashmir” a song by Danish recently received 3000 downloads.
Not only this, Danish has also contributed immensely for the community radio, Peshkadam set-up by Islamic University of Science and Technology’s (IUST) Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. “They hired me because of my skills and abilities,” he emphasized.
