Session on Climate Change Reporting
Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government College for Women, M.A. Road organised a guest lecture on ‘Climate Change Reporting’ on June 27, 2023. The guest speaker was Mr. Shakoor Rather who is currently working as News Editor and Head Science and Technology at India’s premier news agency Press Trust of India (PTI).

DJMC organizes Film Fest-2023
The two-day Film Fest organised by Department of Journalism & Mass Communication concluded at Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar on Saturday (June 17).
The event was organised in collaboration with Film Southasia (FSA) & Hri Institute for Southasian Research and Exchange. Several critically acclaimed documentaries were screened followed by interactive sessions. A workshop and an exhibition was also part of the two-day event.

6-day workshop on ‘Short Film-making’ at DJMC
Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar organised a week-long workshop on ‘Short Film-making’ from June 1 to June 7, 2023. Noted cinematographer and editor, Mr. Muhammad Younis Zargar was the resource person for the workshop.
