DJMC short film ‘Ayesha’ bags first prize at Media Festival
Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar bagged the First Prize in the film category for its short film ‘Ayesha’ at the Media Festival organised by Govt. Degree College, Baramulla on September 20, 2023.
Earlier, the film earned rave reviews at the Film Fests held at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) and GCW M.A. Road in June.

Guest lecture on Science & Technology Reporting
Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government College for Women, M.A. Road organised a guest lecture on ‘Science & Technology Reporting’ on October 18, 2023. The guest speaker was Mr. Shakoor Rather who is currently working as News Editor and Head Science and Technology at India’s premier news agency Press Trust of India (PTI).
