DJMC hosts session on Multimedia Journalism

Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar hosted an interaction session for students with senior journalist Mr. Suhail Akram at the college conference hall on December 24, 2022.
Mr. Suhail has rich international experience having worked with media organizations like Al-Jazeera and BBC. He is currently working as senior Multimedia Producer with reputed UAE based news organization ‘The National’. DJMC organises event on media’s role in combating drug meance

Role of media in the fight against drug menace was highlighted at an event held at Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar on Monday (12 December 2022).
The event was organised by Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in collaboration with the NSS wing of the college as part of the ongoing ‘My College, My Pride’ initiative. Besides students, the event was attended by faculty members of the college.

Batch 2019 shares internship experience

Students of the outgoing (2019) batch of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication shared their internship experiences during a session organized by the department at the college conference hall on June 11, 2022. Clarion call for Intergenerational Bonding

Govt. College for Women, M. A. Road Srinagar organized a workshop on ‘Intergenerational Bonding’ on Thursday (March 24, 2022). The aim of the event was to sensitize youth about the importance of elderly in the society and highlight the various issues faced by the senior citizens.
